Rectification of Silo Park Water Feature, Auckland

Rectification of Silo Park Water Feature, Auckland.

Rhino Linings Central Auckland
worked in cooperation with Downer Engineering and JFC Ltd, providing a long term waterproofing solution to fix the water leak in the water feature pond at Silo Park, located on the corner of Jellicoe and Hamer Street Auckland, New Zealand. This waterfront public area is well known to the people of Auckland, its facilities for events and activities are enjoyed by locals and visitors.

Originally the concrete ponds at Silo Park had been lined with a HDPE (High Density Poly Ethelyne) membrane which over time had failed resulting in the pond constantly losing water.

Due to its excellent waterproofing properties, Rhino Linings Tuff Stuff® was specified for the pond rectification (Class III Wet Area Membrane). Geotextile was also used to facilitate the application of the polyurethane coating over the concrete and earthen substrate.

On completion this project was certified by Auckland City Council.
